Former Physician Accused of Assault Charges Involving Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have stated that a ex- physician has been charged with carrying out assaults involving 38 victims who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Charges
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of sexual offences – comprising some against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
A senior prosecutor stated, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Investigation
The charges follow what investigators called a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer will appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.
