Alina Habba has resigned as the chief federal prosecutor in the state. This decision was prompted by a legal ruling that questioned her eligibility to serve.

US Attorney General, Pam Bondi, accepted Habba's resignation on the start of the week. She commented that the judicial decision made it "untenable" for Habba to perform her duties.
