The latest project comes amid increasing worry about the nation's susceptibility to online disruptions and cyber-attacks.
Recent events have highlighted these weaknesses, including a significant disruption affecting global cloud computing and recent cyber-attacks that affected operations at major factories and distribution networks across several organizations.

A previous senior officer of the UK's air and space warfare centre will report back next month on how the state-backed organization can best support the scale of government AI ambitions in national security, national security and intelligence.
Operational Restructuring
The organization's leader, a former Amazon UK boss, confirmed that multiple research initiatives at the organization with 440 employees have been terminated, spun out or finished because they aren't consistent with the revised strategy.

The institute has faced organizational challenges since last year as staff protested against changes, culminating in a group of employees filing a whistleblower complaint to the proper supervisory commission.
The institute's leadership stated that these whistleblower claims were externally examined by a neutral third party that found them to have lack merit.

Researchers will create methods to use the rapidly-developing tools to more rapidly and accurately forecast changes in atmospheric developments, sea conditions and arctic coverage, partly to more effectively guide official disaster response teams.
The center will also target measurable pollution decreases in transport systems, industrial operations and critical infrastructure.
